DIY Fake Makeup for Kids

I saw this on Pinterest and knew I had to make some fake blush for the Miniboss. She always steals my blush and then gets it everywhere! This last week there was a great deal on makeup at cvs and I ended up getting 8 free Covergirl blushes.

I used a knife to take out the blush tray and then just poured in a little OPI Nail polish.

I let it dry overnight to make sure it wasn't sticky and that's it!

She thinks it's makeup and I don't have any clean up or worries :) I just hand her the fake blush and it keeps her busy while I get ready. I think I might have to make some fake eye shadows and other ones too because it came out so realistic and cute!

EDIT: Ohhhh I found an old MAC Studio Fix and cleaned it out and used a shimmer polish to make concealer/bronzer. I do realize I could turn it in to MAC to recycle and get free products but it has a mirror and I know my kiddo will enjoy it :)

So don't throw out your makeup cases just because it's empty, you could turn it into some fun fake makeup for your girls!

Did I ever tell you how much I loved Pinterest?! hehe

  6. That is a nice idea! Your daughter would be convinced she’s wearing real makeup. Haha! I can imagine her doing makeovers on herself and loving it. Now you don’t have to worry where those empty makeup containers will go.
