Well It's gorgeous now!

Can you believe that's the same nightstand?!
First I took it outside and laid a bunch of newspapers down so I wouldn't accidentally spray paint the entire patio. I'm no pro with spray paint and I super sucked at it, but after this project I feel confident in my new found spray paint skills :)

I took off the hardware.

It was super gross and dirty and olddd!!

I sanded them down, and washed with soap and water.

and spray painted it with this.

Put the hardware aside to dry, and got to cleaning the nightstand. I then primered the night stand let tat dry overnight and got to spray painting the nightstand. I used Ocean Breeze. I used 1 whole can and had some spots that needed touch ups so I used a second can but barely any of it.
I brought it inside.

Used black acrylic paint to glaze it and make it look antique...even though it is super old lol!

See the difference it makes?!

Put the hardware back, all done!

I wish I had more time to make the glaze perfect but Miniboss is teething and super cranky. I feel some hardness to her gums but I don't see teeth yet so hopefully they come soon and she won't be so naughty!

I LOVE that color! I hope you will consider linking it up to my Creative Things Thursday Party!
ReplyDeleteJust did ;) Thank you for the heads up!
ReplyDeletethis is awesome..you're good! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Can you believe what a difference spray paint makes?! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is about the perfect match! Gotta love how the paint harmonizes with the hardware!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing transformation. Love it. Added benefit, just had a debate with the hubby over whether or not I could spray paint on the deck, and now I can say look she did and it worked out fine :)
